Etablissements Jean-Pierre Moueix founded wine merchant business in 1937 in Libourne, Bordeaux, working exclusivily with the wines of the right bank with particular concentration on Pomerol and St Emilion. In the 1950s, Jean-Pierre grew the business to include purchases of several well-known properties, notably Chateaux Magdelaine and Trotanoy . They are responsible for the distribution of many of the great wines of St Emilion and Pomerol including, of course the fabled Chateau Petrus. Currently moving into its third generation with Jean-Pierre's son (Christian) and grandson (Edouard) at the helm, Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix's role as wine merchants is a strong as ever. They also act a negociants, dealing wine on the Bordeaux marketplace, including the classed growth properties of the left bank.
