Burgundy region of France it is widely considered to produce some of the finest wines in the world. During the 1930s the French authorities updated the Appellation (AOC) . This changed did included the Pommard appellation from one side of the main road to the other. Vines that once produced Pommard wines, could now only produce 'lowly' Bourgogne Rouge. The result for us is top quality Pinot Noir at a snip of a price! Domaine Cyrot-Buthiau is a small family domaine, based in Pommard has been in the family for the last 100 years, and is owned and run today by fourth generation
Tasting notes: Classic style Burgundian wines that are very true to their terroir .Bright, deep ruby in colour. The nose shows pretty, perfumed, red and black berries.
