In the Domaine De La Passion vineyard, the grapes of which are 60% are Cabernet Franc and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, have been used in Haut-Brion wines since 1978.
Then, the Allarly family controlled the vineyard from 2006,rejecting,initially,offers from Haut-Brion for the land.
Michel Allarly produced his own wine,La Passion Haut-Brion from 2009,which sells today between £50 and £60 a bottle.
Michel died in 2010.It was his son and daughter,Daniel and Marie, who sold to Prince Robert of Luxembourg, owner of Domaines Clarence Dillion.'The sale went harmoniously and quietly' said Daniel.
