Chinese Police Discover Forged Cache Chateau Lafite!!!
 
Chinese police have discovered 10,000 bottles of fake Domaines Barons De Rothschild [Lafite] wines,in a house in Wenzhon,in the Zhejiang province.
 But further reports reveal,that there were no bottles of Chateaux Lafite Rothschild itself,but large quantities of the companies DBR collection brands,including legends,saga,and reserve speciale. The owner of the house,a Mr Zou,denies any involvement,as he states that the property,which had stood empty for nine years,was suddenly found on his return to it,to be filled with wine bottles...The DBR Lafite managing director,Christopher Salin,explained that the Chinese fraud office are dealing with the matter.
 The case is also of interest because in China,forgerers of the most expensive products can recieve the death penalty. Lafite has been forged many times over the years.Forgeries are created with the use of lower cost wines,but with 'DBR Lafite' on the label. One action taken was for prooftag labels to be added to,for instance,the 2009 vintage,and any older vintages.
There is potentially more protection now in China due to the forgeries,than in Europe!
