A fine Sicilian wine grown on Mount Etna from various parcels of old Nerello Mascalese covering the vocalno slope .The vines are between 30 and 120 years old.The vineyard run by Andrea Fanchetti had been created in 2000 . The winery sits at about a thousand meters of altitude above the small wine town ofPassopisciaro in the district of Castiglione di Sicilia, on the northern slope of the volcano. Andrea Fanchetti is one of the most brilliant Italian winemakers. After scoring a magnificent wines in his tuscan estate of Sarteano.
Tasting notes: Smoke, earth, dark spice and berry are some of the aromas you’ll find on this. The linear, rather lean palate displays raw cherry, mineral and Mediterranean herb alongside vibrant acidity and tightly wound tannins
