The Auxerois Pinot blanc is a specialty of the Cléebourg Region, the Auxerrois grape, a lower producing cousin of the more prolific Pinot Blanc grape. Located north of Strasbourg, Cave de Cléebourg’s vineyards cover almost 200 hectares of the Nothernin Vosges Mountains in the Alsace region of France. Cleebourgh the 'Nordic' village: in the 17th and 18th centuries, Cleebourgh and its neighbours were directly attached through mariage to the Swedish crown. The vineyard located north of Strasbourg (France) covering alomst 200 hectares . Since 1946 the Cave de Cleebourg's a wine co-operative linking together surrounding villages of Cléebourg, Oberhoffen, Rott, Steinseltz ,Riedseltz. and Wissembourgh in the northernmost part of the Alsatian wine region.
