Beaujolais
Beaujolais is a wine appellation in the Beaujolais region of France which is famous for lighter-style red wines made from the Gamay grape. As you drive from the south the region starts just past the city of Lyon and extends through Brouilly, Chénas, Chiroubles, Fleurie, Morgon, Moulin-à-Vent, Saint-Amour, Juliénas, Côte de Brouilly and Régnié.White wines made from Chardonnay are permitted here but only about 5% of the production is white.
