Shiraz Mad Dog Wines Barossa Valley, Australia 2013
The Barossa Valley is one of Australia's oldest wine regions. Mad Dogs’ flagship wine is, of course his Barossa Shiraz. This wine is selected from the best fruit that the vineyard produces each year and includes fruit from 100 year old vines, all of which are very low yielding ( only 500 cases a year). The wine is made in high quality French oak where it is cellared for at least 12 months before being released to the public.
Tasting note: Elegant red berry fruits and a hint of spice. A heart of blood plum and raspberry fruit and the suggestion of some Dutch chocolate adds complexity.
